Glacial Lakes Conservancy – Glacial Lakes Conservancy is a Wisconsin-based land trust serving five counties along the Lake Michigan shoreline. I serve as their membership coordinator, taking the more routine tasks off the shoulders of the Executive Director and allowing her and the board to focus their attention on major gift prospects instead. We launched a $1,000 giving club in 2009 and are nearing the end of $400,000 campaign to protect Grasshopper Hill Preserve, in Sheboygan County.

Ice Age Trail Alliance – Ice Age Alliance is the administrative organization focused on building the 1,000-mile footpath across Wisconsin known as the Ice Age Scenic Trail. The Alliance hired The BAM Team to assess the organization preparatory to accreditation and to facilitate its strategic planning process. More recently, they have hired me to complete a development audit and guide the implementation of some of its key recommendations. We conducted a training session for the board, and the development audit is complete. We are developing a $1,000 giving club and planning a significant letter-writing campaign for the fall.

Kettle-Moraine Land Trust – The Kettle Moraine Land Trust is a southern Wisconsin land trust working to conserve the remaining natural land around three developed lakes in Walworth County. They hired me to plan and help implement an awareness campaign to introduce the land trust to landowners around two of the lakes where they had been previously unknown. We have completed the initial plan and are beginning implementation.

Licking Land Trust – Licking Land Trust is a central Ohio-based land trust with an interest in seeking land trust accreditation within the next few years. In preparation, they hired The BAM Team to complete their organizational assessment. We are using an on-line assessment tool, and the on-site work is scheduled for later in the fall.

Professional Dairy Producers Foundation – The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation is a grant-making foundation dedicated to funding innovative projects aimed at dairy industry professionalism, the next generation of dairy leaders, and animal well-being. The Foundation is not endowed, and they hired me to plan and implement a producer-led campaign to increase annual grant-making to $2,000,000 by 2020. The strategic direction is established and the initial planning is complete. We are beginning to solicit top prospects.

River Alliance of Wisconsin – River Alliance of Wisconsin is a Madison-based advocacy alliance of 19 local and regional river groups. River Alliance hired me in 2004 to complete a development audit and guide the implementation of some of its key recommendations. In 2011, I am working with the group again to plan and implement a campaign for a $300,000 River Action Fund. Board solicitation is underway, a solicitor training session is scheduled for next month, and case materials are in production.

Texas Land Conservancy – Texas Land Conservancy is a state-wide land trust based in Austin. They hired me to complete a development audit, guide the implementation of some of its key recommendations, and deliver a comprehensive major gift training seminar to its Board of Directors.
